Though there haven' been any updated official news on when the ban will be lifted, we believe that as the epidemic in China is gradually getting better, the entry restriction for foreigners will be adjusted accordingly soon.

After the entry ban was issued on March 26, considering the difficulties for foreign experts enter China, relevant departments of China are leading efforts with some countries and regions to explore the establishment of a "fast track" for urgently needed personnel exchanges, facilitating the resumption of work and production，so as to ensure stable and unimpeded industrial and supply chains.
3月26日禁令發布后，考慮到在華外資企業外籍人員入境方面的困難，中方有關部門已牽頭與部分國家和地區探索建立急需人員往來的“快捷通道”，以推動復工復產合作，穩定產業鏈供應鏈。
On May 1, the first "fast track" between China and South Korea was opened for the urgently needed technical personnel. According to media reports, Samsung, LG, SK and other famous South Korean companies have already dispatched more than 1,000 technical experts to the Chinese cities of Xi 'an, Guangzhou and Yancheng in the past 20 days. In the future, China will also expand the scope of "fast track" for more provinces and cities.

At the beginning of May, the Chinese government has discussed with the German embassy in China and the German chamber of commerce the procedure of "fast track" for the core employees of German companies to return to China as soon as possible. Till now, the name list of the first and the second batches of German senior executives and technical experts who will fly to China by commercial charter plane have been already confirmed.The first commercial charter is estimated to arrive in Tianjin on May 30.

On May 20, when attending an online video discussion with CBI , Chinese Ambassador Liu Xiaoming mentioned that “the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China is in close communication with the British Embassy in Beijing on the implementation plan for the “fast track” entry arrangement for travelers on essential and urgent visits in the sectors of business, logistics, production and technical services between China and the UK.
5月20日，駐英大使劉曉明在與英國工商業聯合會（CBI）的座談中提到：“中方將同英國政府合作開通赴華“快捷通道”，并擬定了適用的關鍵行業清單，范圍包括重要物流、技術和金融服務等行業人員。

Is the Chinese visa held by foreigners abroad still valid after the entry ban is lifted?
入境限制解除后，外籍人在境外所持有的來華簽證還有效嗎？

The Chinese visa or residence permit held by a foreigner abroad now will remain valid before its expiry. After the ban is lifted, foreigner can still use the unexpired visa or residence permit to enter China without applying for a new visa. (During the period of entry ban, foreigners and their families who come to China by "fast track" should apply for new visas according to the requirements from the local Chinese embassy or consulate.)
目前在境外的外籍人所持有的來華簽證或居留許可，在到期前仍然是有效的。禁令解除后，外籍人可以使用有效期內的來華簽證或居留許可進入中國，不用再申請新的簽證。（在禁令期間，通過“快捷通道”來華的外籍人和家屬請按當地中國使、領館要求申請新簽證入境）
